Queen VictoriaGrade Six - Room 305 Dear room 305 - I watched the video and I love it! It was wonderful and brought a near-tear to my eye. I will treasure it always. See you soon! Class News
Welcome to grade six at Queen Victoria! It's going to be an exciting and fun year of learning.
Many of you will feel very comfortable using a computer, but some of you might be a little anxious. You might be thinking, "I don't know how to use a computer well. What if I can't do it?" Here's my answer to you: DON'T WORRY! After a few months, you will be experts at using our Wiki.
What's a Wiki? Click here to see more information about Wikis from the world's largest Wiki (I'm sure you've heard of it) - Wikipedia. The information there is quite complicated, but basically, a Wiki is a place for people to share information and ideas. WIth many Wikis, almost anyone can add or change information. On our Wiki, only the students in our class will be able to see and contribute ideas and work.
Please ask me for help at any time if there is something about the Wiki that is confusing you.
Most importantly - Have fun using it! Want to get started and need some tips? Check out this page.
Five Short Rules
1. Never share your password with another student.
2. Leave comments for your friends that will make them feel good about their work.
3. Never change someone else's work.
4. If you disagree with what someone writes, leave a comment that explains why you disagree. Just keep it polite!
5. The more you contribute, the more our Wiki grows and the more interesting it will become. When you want to write about something, you can have your OWN page! Just tell me and we will set up a page together.
